Terms of Use
Last updated: 18 July 2026
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Qiela, including the Qiela mobile application, website, and related services. By using Qiela, you agree to these terms.
2. The service
Qiela is a location-based chat application centered around salons, including user accounts, phone verification, profiles, discovery maps, location-bound chats, and presence validation. Available features may vary by platform, region, account status, and service configuration.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use Qiela. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the activity that occurs through your account. You must provide accurate information and may not impersonate another person or misuse another person’s phone number.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Qiela for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or harmful purposes;
- attempt to bypass access controls, invite restrictions, or verification systems;
- upload content that infringes rights or violates privacy;
- interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, or attack the service;
- use automated scraping, spam, or credential-stuffing tools.
5. Content standards and zero tolerance
Qiela has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. In particular, you may not post or share:
- sexual exploitation of any kind, especially involving minors;
- harassment, bullying, or abuse directed at other users;
- hate speech or content that attacks people for who they are;
- threats or incitement of violence;
- illegal content or content that promotes illegal activity.
You can report content and users, and block users, directly in the app. Qiela moderates the service — through per-salon moderators and admin takedown tools — and may remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts without notice for violations.
6. Salon access and invitations
Access to a salon may be controlled by hosts, administrators, invite links, QR tokens, or other rules. Qiela may help enforce access decisions, but hosts are responsible for how they manage their community and invitations.
7. User content
You remain responsible for content you upload or provide, including profile images and profile details. You grant Qiela the limited right to host, store, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to provide the service.
8. Service availability
We may add, remove, or modify features, and the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of material changes.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access, without notice, if we believe you violated these terms or the content standards above, created security risk, abused the service, or used Qiela in a way that could harm other users or the service. If an account is permanently banned, the associated phone number and sign-in identity stay blocked to prevent ban evasion.
10. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile (name, handle, email, phone number, birthdate, bio), your photos, and all your private conversations (both sides) are erased. Messages you posted in salons remain but are no longer linked to your identity. Your phone number, handle, and email become immediately reusable for a new account. Moderation reports, the admin audit log, and pseudonymized store-billing evidence are retained after deletion, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Deleting your Qiela account does not cancel an active Qiela Plus subscription. Cancel the subscription in the Apple App Store or Google Play account that bills it before deleting your account.
11. Qiela Plus subscriptions
Qiela may offer Qiela Plus, an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android. When it is available to you, the app shows the store’s localized price and billing period before purchase. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them through the store that bills you. You can restore an eligible purchase and open the correct store-management page from Qiela settings.
When a subscription is purchased, Qiela validates it with the store and grants Plus to the Qiela account linked to that purchase. A subscription cannot be transferred to another Qiela account. If both Apple and Google subscriptions are active, they are separate subscriptions that renew and must be managed separately. Refund and cancellation decisions are handled under the applicable store’s rules.
While active, Plus raises the daily shared media allowance and the number of active salons you may own. If Plus ends while you are above the free salon allowance, every existing salon remains active and usable; Qiela only blocks creating another salon until you are below the free allowance or Plus becomes active again.
12. Third-party services
Qiela may rely on third-party services for hosting, SMS verification, storage, logging, analytics, or support. These services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
13. Disclaimers
Qiela is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Qiela will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities.
15. Changes
We may update these terms as Qiela develops. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
16. Contact
